Thanks to Walmart more Jewish poor families will have enough food on their table.
Walmart Foundation's State Giving Program will work to provide healthy and nutritious kosher food for vulnerable households in southeast Michigan through a grant of $85,000 for “Yad Ezra”. A check presentation took place at the Walmart store in Berkley.
"This donation has a huge and positive impact for families in difficult situations trying to make a living," said Richard Simtob, chairman of “Yad Ezra”. "There are still many families in our community who are food insecure."
"The Walmart Foundation is pleased to be supporting “Yad Ezra” and is committed to helping the needy in the communities we serve," said Walmart Market Manager Jose Barendse. "Through this grant, we hope that residents in southeast Michigan have access to a wider variety of healthy fruits, vegetables and kosher food."
